Position: Assistant to the General Manager
Location: Mullett Ice Center – Hartland, WI
Pay Rate: $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
Position Type: Part-Time
Hours: 18–20 hours per week; 3–4 weekday shifts per week
The Mullett Ice Center in Hartland is seeking a motivated and dependable Part-Time
‘Assistant to the General Manager’ to join our team.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the General Manager, this position assists with the day-to-day operations of the
Mullett Ice Center, including customer service, office administration, concessions, and facility support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with daily operations of the ice arena, including:
- Opening the building
- Concession sales
- Skate sharpening
- Maintaining online program registrations
- Greet and assist walk-in customers
- Serve as a communication hub for phone and email inquiries
- Handle general office duties, record keeping and administrative tasks
- Maintain communication with customers, staff, vendors, schools, and sponsors
- Assist in maintaining the Mullett Ice Center social media accounts
- Manage concession inventory levels, including birthday party supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Previous experience in office administration, facility operations, customer service, or marketing preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with strong time-management skills
- Proficient computer skills required
- Ability to work independently during solo shifts and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience with social media platforms
- Cash handling service industry experience
- Experience with invoicing and managing customer accounts
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a cold arena environment
