Join in on this volunteer lead hike, on a beautiful section of the IAT. Winter is a perfect time of year to hike. One can really see the topography of the land at this time of year. We will meet at the Emma Carlin trailhead, off of Hwy Z, outside of Palmyra. The trailhead os 0.6 of a mile south of Hwy 59 on Hwy Z. Look for the yellow Ice Age Trail event sign. We will carpool from there to the Horseriders camp, then hike back to Emma Carlin. The hike is about 4 miles. This segment is very hilly, so hiking poles would be helpful. If you do not have hiking poles, Mother Nature provides. Please dress in layers and bring a water bottle.
