Introductory Spanish for the Workplace

Please note that this is a five day session meeting: Thursdays, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, and 11/12, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Build a basic framework of language and culture to communicate effectively and confidently with Spanish-speaking individuals. This workshop is designed to familiarize participants with basic Spanish to better enhance communication with Spanish-speaking individuals in the workplace. It will cover basic grammar structure of the language and incorporate essential vocabulary, phrases and dialogue. It will emphasize the general skills of communicating in Spanish, within a context of cultural awareness and a global mindset.

- Identify Spanish grammar rules.
- Learn basic Spanish social communication vocabulary.
- Explore expressive language phrases.
- Practice Dialogue using standard Spanish phrasing.
- Demonstrate cultural competence in communicating within the Hispanic Community.
